Throughout Brian's racing
career thus far he has obtained three Rookie of the Year awards, and four Championships. In 1993 Brian was the Rookie
of the Year at Evergreen Speedway in the Thriller (currently street stock) division. DeFebo took his experience from the previous
year and became the 1994 Thriller Champion at Evergreen Speedway (currently Mountain Speedway), he was also named Rookie of
the Year in the Late Model division at Clearfield Speedway.
During 1995 he ran in the
Thriller division at Evergreen, and the Late Model at Clearfield, he was again successful in becoming 1996 Thriller Champion.
He also ran the Late Model at Clearfield, Evergreen, and Mahoning Valley Speedway throughout 1996. His first year of running
in the Modified division was 1997 when he was nominated Rookie of the Year once again, he continued competing with the Late
Model at Clearfield Speedway, and also ran at Tioga Motorsports Park.
After accomplishing Modified
Rookie of the Year, Brian decided to remain running his Modified at Evergreen Speedway throughout 1998 and 1999. Throughout
that time he also continued to run the Late Model at Evergreen. In the following year 2000, DeFebo ran limited shows in the
Busch North Series at: New Hampshire International Speedway, Loudon, NH; Thompson International Speedway, Thompson,
CT; Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford Springs, CT; Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH; and Riverside Park, Riverside
NH. While spending a large amount of time competing in the Busch North Series, he continued to run in the Late Model division
at Clearfield, as well as placing third overall in the Modified division at Evergreen.
Brian DeFebo's first experience
in the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Touring Series came in 2001 which consumed a majority of his racing season. He competed
in a limited amount of shows at tracks located in: Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford Springs, CT; Nazareth Speedway,
Nazareth, PA; Thompson International Speedway, Thompson, CT; and Richmond Speedway, Richmond, VA. During that
time he also ran several races at Tioga Motorsports Park with the Modified.
Brian raced his Modified
and Late Model at Mountain Speedway during 2002. The last point's race of the season became the most essential in determining
the Modified champion. DeFebo won the championship by a mere one point after finishing consistently in the top 5 throughout
the season. The 2003 racing season will be forever remembered as a record breaking season for Brian DeFebo. He broke many
of Mountain Speedway's records including topping the number of races won in a single season, and being the first driver to
win back to back Modified Championships.
Overall, Brian DeFebo has
had a lot of racing experience in many different situations. He started at the bottom and has worked his way up, showing his
racing potential and ability to achieve the things he puts his mind to. Brian's success has not been short-lived, and is no
where near finished. His determination to continue winning races will be sure to have positive results wherever racing takes
him.
